Programs
Saturday Family Workshops
Family workshops are held on Saturday mornings to provide a family
support group and comprehensive instruction in child development,
audiology, language, and speech development. For parents to become
effective in helping their child communicate, they must master specific
educational principles and techniques for developing communication
skills. Workshops are held six times per year on Saturdays from
9:30 to 12:00 pm at Our Lord's Community Church and are taught by
the HELP team. During the parent education and family support time,
an intensive language learning and listening program for children
with hearing impairment is offered. Siblings also participate in
the learning activities and development of their brother or sister's
language and listening skills.
