Academic

Children aged three to ten years are eligible for our preschool, pre-k, kindergarten and primary classes. The school calendar echoes local school district schedules. Full-time enrollees attend Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Children receive intensive language instruction through play and direct teaching in classrooms with a small student-teacher ratio (6:1).

Our students are taught a full complement of academic subjects taught by trained educators of the deaf with core subjects supplemented by classes in the computer lab and school library. Teachers set high expectations for their students and assist the children in achieving their potential. Through collaboration, academic classes and speech-language therapy give children an expanding base of language on which all their communication and learning skills are built.
