Clinical Services - Kansas City
Audiology The Kansas City Campus is pleased to partner with local professional groups such as MidWest Ear Institute, University of Kansas Medical Center and Children's Mercy Hospital for audiologic services. On-site cochlear implant mapping is available through a pilot program at the school through MidWest Ear Institute.
Cochlear Implant (Re)Habilitation Cochlear implants offer deaf individuals new auditory access to sounds that were previously unavailable to them through conventional and digital hearing aids. The availability of post-surgical rehabilitation programming for new implanted individuals is essential. Our staff has the expertise to assist children and adult in learning to decode new sounds and to use them for learning language and monitoring speech.
Speech-Language Pathology All children enrolled in the academic program receive thirty minutes of individual speech-language therapy daily.
