SJI-I continues to work with children in first grade and beyond through partnerships with their parents and their local schools.  Support to school districts may include evaluating and observing students, providing consultation and professional  training to schools,  helping

establish IEP goals and providing case conference input, as well as other services as needed.

In addition, our professionals have extensive expertise in cochlear implants and often provide direct therapy or tutoring services to school-age students, helping them use their implants to achieve the highest possible level of speech and language development.  Families and children may receive ongoing consultation, advocacy services and support from St. Joseph Institute, whenever they need it.
